Creative Devotions

Creative Devotions was established in 2005 by Brother Briean and Helen Downs.

The word "Devotion" here refers to a thing that is done for the pure love of it, or because it is what comes forth from the genuineness of a person's Being, (rather than it having any religious connotations as some first think). It is about doing what we love for the joy of the task and the help or relief it might bring.

"Creative" is about both the artistic and inventive inspirations that emerge; and also with the overall intention that the work be positive, 'creative' and generally for some betterment.

The services are offered from a place in the heart, independently of affixing a 'price tag' to them. They are offered on an individual one-on-one level, through to a global one and beyond.

"If you do not go within, you go without."

From their earlier backgrounds working at opposite ends in the legal system, both Briean & Helen were conscious of the need to offer people therapeutic services, for life's stresses and dysfunctionalities, that would go beyond limited traditional approaches. They each devoted themself to finding and using straightforward but effective methods to help resolve issues, challenges and problems in life 'from within'. Coupled with creative services to enhance and support your self image, business or project, Creative Devotions loves to bring out your best potentials.

Sadly, Briean died in November 2011. Helen continues to provide a range of services and to work in cooperative projects with a diverse network of good practitioners whom she recommends.

Yes - there is a spiritual (but not religious) aspect to this work, as it flows from a recognition of the connectivity of things, sychronicity and all sorts of serendipitous notions ... and that's how we like it!
